The Paper Route Empire duo joined Ebro in late March of 2021 to discuss life and music. Mom Dukes came home since they last spoke and Glock didn’t lie, everything he does is for her and anything she wants from him, she gets. Dolph touched on the struggle and how his family and kids don’t have to want anything like he did. “It’s a blessing” he surmised.
As far as the music video for Aspen, he said it was fun filming it, but that he’s still getting used to the new lifestyle that money brings, as he still finds himself hanging with the old “buddies” he came up with. According to Dolph, as he gets more money, his thinking changes and it really is about how to get more dough and keep living it up while not distancing himself from his past. With that said he and his fam are getting more and more used to finer things in life.
Truth be told, Dolph called his own shot telling people he was gonna be rich and take care of his kin, before he even got out of school.
Ebro questioned Dolph’s snowboarding acumen and Dolph jokingly made a bet out of it saying that he was flipping. He wasn’t, but he carried the board well in the Aspen video.
When asked about his current focus Glock says, “I try to stay different as possible as far as the flows.” He estimates that 60-70% of the rap game sound like each other. He isn’t trying to ride a wave but to stay true to his own style.
As far as a tour for Dum and Dummer 2, Dolph indicated that when things open back up after Covid that they’ll get back out there, but that he’s having fun right now who knows maybe they’ll do a show at the Glock Palace.
Key Glock Talks Sleep With The Roaches with Zane Lowe
“Adrenaline” is what Glock first noticed when hearing the beat for Sleep With the Roaches. When asked about how Dum and Dummer 2 came about, Glock noted that it wasn’t planned and just happened. He heard Dolph’s Cheat Code and decided he had to get on it and that is how it all started. In terms of what it is like when the two of them are in the studio together, it is “like ham and burger”!
